I have an existing folder structure with several hundred sub folders that was incorporated under DNN when installing it.  The folders were synched but have two problems with it:
  1. When synching it will end up in an error after half is synched leaving half unsynched in the end
  2. Also to my horror I discovered these sub folders sometimes with their subs again was totally unmanageable when ie. picking a file with document module.  The whole folder list is in the expanded state showing the folder path that is hard to scroll through.   The built in file manager does not seem like it's supposed to be used with large amounts of folders.

Any ideas on above much appreciated.

if you have large numbers of documents, you may consider using a professional document module like DMX by www.bring2mind.net

I checked DMX and this will be most useful to me with one exception: if I link a file say in the HTML module I will still be facing the same issue to use the built in DNN file manager with a massive expanded folder list...or will DMX replace this manager.

There must be many sites with this issue so any solutions?

Thanks Bring2Mind does provide a file manager for the RadEditor. The trial I loaded on the site works really well. The std dnn file manager does not cope with hundreds of folders/files.
