What is the Best way to create a new portal which will be a copy of an existing portal

I have a portal on my DNN Installation. I need to create a second portal which will be very similar to the existing portal with only a few minor changes. What is the best way to accomplish this?

create a template from the first portal and use it, when creating the second.

I know a template can be made for a single page, but are you saying I can make a template for the entire portal? Or are you saying to make a template for each individual page?

I am unclear about what happens on this template with items referencing files stored in portal 1 when I try to set up a new page in portal 2 using the template that references the items in portal 1 file structure.

Bart, in Host :: Portals there is an option to create a template from a whole site. If module implement the required interface correctly, all references should be properly restored locally on the target portal.
