Hello,

I have installed the store module on DNN 5.6.0 and I am using paypal sandbox to test payment processing.  The orders appear to be processing correctly in PayPal.  But the order in the store module is being set to "Awaitng Payment" instead of "Paid" even though the payment is being correctly processed in PayPal.  I have double checked the merchant ID and the secure making sure they match the sandbox merchant account.  I have read most of the threads and tried different ideas but nothing seems to work.  I checked the "Event Viewer" and found the entry shown below which appears to indicate an error but I am not sure what it means.   I would appreciate any ideas on how to resolve this issue.  Thanks.

Hi Donald,

The Store Account module must be on a separate page and visible to everyone. If the page visibility is restricted to registred users, PayPal can't return the response to the Store Account module and the order is not upgraded to the "Paid" status. This has been changed in the current beta, now a dedicated page not listed in the menu receive the PayPal notification. The error is also corrected in the current beta.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Gilles,

Thanks for the advice.  I found that I had to open up both the Store Catalog AND the Store Account to all users to make it work.  Something that I am still finding confusing is that the order for the user still shows as "Awaiting Payment" when I check the "Order history" immediately after processing the order.  However, the order status for the user changes to "paid" if I logout and then immediately log back in to check the status.

I look forward to the new version where you have a dedicate page to receive the PayPal notification.  Thanks for your hard work on this module - I am sure it is a labor of love.

Don
