Hi all

I just upgraded from version 5.1.4 to 5.6.0. Upgrade executed without any error. But when I start the website it shows a DotNetNuke error, and when I click on 'Return to site' it takes to default.aspx, which works. But it doesnt redirect automatically to default.aspx!

I have searched through the forum, but couldn't solve my problem. Some things I noted after some reading:
- runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true" is not defined in system.webserver > modules
- in portal alias there is my main domain and many .png file paths pointing to skins folder
- how to check which version of ASP the website is using?
- where is the the file URLRewriteModule.vb located in dnn installation?

Please somebody help me with this issue!

have same problem. in 5.5.1 following url http://domain.com/portalalias/ worked fine. after upgrade to 5.6.0 this url shows generic "DotNetNuke Error" page. url http://domain.com/portalalias/default.aspx works as before

there are a couple of issues with portal alias in 5.6.0, I suggest upgrading to 5.6.1, which should be available within a couple of days.

This portal alias issue is a disaster. In addition to the site not locating the default.aspx file my images have disappeared. When is 5.6.1 to release and will it fix the problems people are having.
