How can I find out what version of DNN a site is running? I can log in as admin to the DNN but the only functions under "Admin" are - Site Settings/Pages/Security Roles/User Accounts/Vendors/Site log/Newsletters/File manager/Recycle/Event Viewer/Skins/Languages/Site Wizard/Authentication/Solutions Explorer.

I am helping out a company whose site is managed with DNN. It feels like the site was created a loooong time ago and I assume that the DNN is a very old version. I'd like to know what version so I can suggest to the client that they upgrade. If they say "yes" then I'd like to know where to start on that?

I've seen some postings suggesting what to do, but they refer to options that I don't see on my version, which is why I fear this is a very old version.

Thanks

if you have the host username and password log in as that and you can see the version under host->host settings (if you dont have the host name you'll have to see about creating one - and ideally deleting the existing one , the easiest way is to mark up a user via the IsSuperuser flag in the users table). If you cant do this, then go to the sites bin folder, right click the dotnetnuke.dll file, go to properties and you'll be able to see the version

There is also another option of checking out this just go to Admin->Extensions and under the framework section you can check the version of the DNN.

Hope it helps!
