My website works fine for couple of hours and then suddenly it goes to install/underconstruction.htm
I have to restart the app pool and then everything is fine for couple of hours and then again......

It's like a loop.

I have set auto upgrade to false but that did not change anything.

There is something else about checking the version in database but I have no idea how to do it.

Is there anything else I am missing or should check?

Thanks

normally this indicates that an upgrade is only partially committed i.e. the database and assembly versions are out of sync. To check this force the upgrade e.g. call www.yoursite.com/Install/Install.aspx?mode=upgrade

another issue might be the database not responding in time. Please use a tool like SQL Server Management Studio to review size of the database transaction log and top sized database tables.

I tried this when the website was going to underconstruction.htm and it shows this error:

Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SqlDataProvider

Then, I restarted the application pool and then did the intall/install.aspx?mode=upgrade and the page showed nothing. It was just a blank page.

Log files are truncated everyday.

The website is up and running but every few hours the website goes to underconstruction.htm

Thanks for your time.
