I recently built a new DNN site for a client using ver 5.4. Some of the pages are being used as navigation elements only by disabling the page in the page settings. This is something I've done in the past with most of the DNN sites I've built.

But, on this site, the navigation still happens to some degree on the disabled pages. Except when the disabled page is clicked the site returns to the home page.

The site uses the following skin:
http://www.snowcovered.com/Snowcovere...

Apparently is uses it's own Menu Skin Object  based on jQuery. Could this is causing the disabled pages to be somewhat active?

Thanks for any information anyone can provide.

Jim

if the skin uses a dedicated menu and navigation behaves different from default skin, I would suspect the menu to be the cause.

Yep. I just created a test page and assigned the default DNN skin to it and the menu / disabled page(s) works as expected, so it's the jQuery menu the skin is using causing the issue. I've written the developer and asked him to look into it.

Thanks.

The skin developer researched the issue and modified the menu object (DLL) and sent me a revised version to patch the DNN installation.

It works perfectly!

Thanks to Matt, the very responsive developer for taking care of it so quickly!
