I have installed DNN Community Edition 5.6 on a web hosting provider server. I installed it via the Microsoft Web Application Gallery available from my control panel.

Some of the admin features such as "install module" do not seem to be available - my guess is that they have been disabled by my hosting provider by default. My question is how can I check if this is the case and if so, am I able to do anything to switch them on?

Many thanks

you need to login as superuser ("host"), admins do not have permission to manage the DNN installation, only the current site within DNN multiportal system.

I am logged-in as a super user - but I don't see the features I want to use. Is there perhaps a config setting (eg DotNetNuke.config) that can switch such features on / off?

you need to enter "Extensions" in Host menu, switch to edit mode in top left corner and select "extension install wizard"
