Ive had to rebuildmy site, the trouble im having after doing so, noone can log, error:

Login Failed. Please remember that passwords are case sensitive

So I try to change the password for members mannually but get an error messages that change had failed and password was not changed.
any help would be appreciated

During the rebuilding of your site, the value's for the validationKey and decriptionKey attributes in the <machineKey . . . /> node of the site's web.config file must have changed.

Were you able to restore the web.config file from the old site's files and if not, do you still have a copy of it available?

When you say that you have been re-building the site, did you perhaps do a new install of DotNetNuke then restore only the database from a backup?

Are you able to log into the re-built site as admin or host user? If so, please check the Admin-->Event Viewer for more detailed errors that might be logged when you tried to change passwords of existing user accounts.
