Hi, WE run into trouble with an update. WE updated to DNN 5.4 and now the Filemanager i snot showing any folders. IF you press refresh it will crash and the message "A critical error has occured" object not set to an instance of an object - appears.
Does anyone has any ideas where to look for?

IT looks like we also have some Java script errors with dnn.controls.dnntree.js
This.rootnode is NULL.
After this it crashes

please provide more details of what trouble you had, was it a sql issue (if so please look in the Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider folder for the relevant .log/.log.resources files). I'd also recommend you check the admin->event viewer to see if you can get more detail of the issue there.

We have after the upgrade problems with the java treeview.js and positioning.js.
For some reason this started working again yesterday and now the filemanager is working.
I will research this further because I am not sure why all is working.

this kind of thing can occasionally occur after an update if the javascript files are out of sync with the code e.g. if you have a proxy cache server that has cached the "old" versions and hasn't noticed that the size/timestamp have changed (or hadn't for a few days, hence why it now works) - to fix this ensure any upstream servers aren't incorrectly caching content - to resolve it locally try pressing CTRL+F5 which will force a fresh refresh.
