I have a site here that seems to be waiting several seconds to load the .css files and during that wait the visitor sees a black background.  I suspect it's waiting for the slide show images to load, but I'd rather it show the basic page correctly before it loads the images.  Once the site is cached by the browser it loads and displays ok.  Is there a way I can force the early  loading of the key files for the page, that will make it display correctly?

Thanks for any suggestions.
Steve
