Can anyone provide the options/recommendations for running DNN in a web farm?
We're looking at a single DNN installation with perhaps 100 portals, 5-25 regular users on each and one "super" portal with 500-2000 less frequent visitors.

We were considering using a number of virtual servers for redundancy, load and bandwidth balancing and to enable us to reconfigure "offline" if necessary, and this strategy would also provide a testing environment plus an emergency backup option, should the site be attacked/hacked.

We know both CE and PE support web farms with a file system cache, but PE has a web service caching provider which DNN says is beneficial.
Then we noticed that that each PE server requires a separate PE licence at $2500/pa which makes this approach pretty expensive..

Any other suggestions?
