sorry, forgot to include the line in the web.config the error is pointing at...

<add name="Compression" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Compression.CompressionModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules" />

If its only a single page im wondering if you really need to worry about all this.

Instead, could you just run the page in a sub folder on the site - why does it need to be a subfolder application.
This way you dont need a separate web.config etc - yes there is some overhead because it would be running inside the dnn application space.

I agree. But, I guess I do not fully understand something.  What is the difference to DNN of a subdirectory with a stand alone aspx file(s) and
a subdirectory that holds a seperately built application that has aspx file(s) ???

ok, one final thought / question. DotNetNuke is a Content Management System, right ? But, yet the fix I have found to run a subdirectory breaks the ability to edit / manage content. Seems a little ironic.

Do not get me wrong, I like DNN, still learning it, but I do like it. And, I like the the fact that there is a forum group of great people out there willing to jump in and help others out, like me ;-)

I am still going to plug away at this. If I find a solution, I will be sure to post it out here !

Thank you all again !!
