Hi all,

Does anyone know why image quality on DNN is low ?

Please look on this site logo
    http://www.dotnetnuke.com/
    compare with:
    http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Portals/_default/Skins/DNN-Skin/images/dnnLogo.png

    The second image is clearer.

For small image contains text, It would be makes a greater effect. The text image would be shown blur.

See this image for the result:

Does anyone how to fix this ?

The 2 images with home on them are different sizes, I think what your refering to is more to do with the first one being stretched beyond the original dimensions, rather than quality. An example of this would be you adding an image with an original size of 300px by 300px and setting the size of it in the HTML to 600px by 600px, it would then look pixelated and low quality.

Hope this helps,

Rick.

Rick is right, the logo on the home page is scaled, no idea why.

The example on the DNN site has a width and height set in the CSS file of 244px by 59px, that doesn't match the original image size of 261px by 63px. It needs to be changed in the CSS.

Rick.

 Hi Rick and Timo,

Yes you're right. I choose wrong example.

           How about the red getStartedbutton:
           http://www.dotnetnuke.com/
           Compare with this:
           http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Portals/25/SiteFiles/DNNSkin/getStarted_red.jpg

           The result is like this:
           http://uploadpic.org/view-pic.php?img=134125
I already check the size on both image and they are same (93x35).

But it only happen on Firefox 3.6.13 and on IE 8 it looks okay.
I will check on my CSS again tomorrow, i hope i found another clue.
