Hi everybody.
I need to customize login page. I have done a lot of searching and investigating. As i understand, if i want to change login page structurally (e.g. change layout, add some links) i need to create my own module. I can't achieve this just with skins and containers. Did i understand it right? Or there are some other possibilities?

Thanks.
Cheers.

Hi Yazla,

You can create a new page just as you would any other page, add whatever content you want, and add an Account Login module to it. Then go to Admin > Site Settings, expand Advanced Settings > Page Management, and select your new page as the Login page, then click update at the bottom of the page.

Hey there,

The business part of the login page is actually just a module.  So it depends I guess on what you actually want to change.

If you just want to have some other images / text or other links as such displayed on the same page as the login module then this is possible.

1.  Create a new page on your site - Call it Account Login or some such.
2.  Add the Account Login module to this new page.
3.  Add any other HTML/TEXT or MEDIA modules you want to this new page ( other text or images etc)
4.  Open you Admin - Site Settings page
5.  Open the Advanced Settings section
6.  You should see and option that says Login Page  <None>  -   change this so that it points to your NEW login page.

Whenever a user clicks on Login they will now see your custom page.

Hope this helps you out.

Westa

Ah ok - in which case unless you are a programmer I would suggest you have a look at one of the custom login modules for sale on www.snowcovered.com.

There are a couple there that should be able to do the trick for you.
