We are converting an ASP.NET website to DNN but we have had a DNN site as a virtual directory under this site previously.  Now the virtual DNN will not work because of how the web.config is used and how modules are inherited.  Is there a fix to get a DNN application to run in a virtual directory from within a DNN application?

You can change the Portal Alias, but what concerns me is how your web.config is affecting your site. The exact answer might rely on the additional information around how those configuration changes are currently set.

What I have is a root DNN site has a virtual directory that points to a another DNN site.  This does not work directly.  Is there a work around for this?

I previously tried like what you expressed above and my hosting provider said dnn does not allow installation under a subfolder or virtual directory if the website root is already a dnn application.
