Hi all,

My new site is almost ready to publish but I have hit a problem with teh Gallery module. When a user that is either not logged in or is logged in but does not have edit rights when they view the gallery they see the following text:

You must be in Edit Mode to enter content, and then you can use the Module Action Menu or Module Action Buttons to manage content

Is there a way to remove this text? I know it's for information purpose but I don't want it displayed on my site.

Thanks

I have tried putting the gallery as private, this is supposed to only allow the gallery creator to upload images but I still get the same text when logged out or logge din as a normal user.

This text is not being displayed by the Gallery module. Thinking that it might be a system generated text being displayed because the Gallery module must have edit permission granted to either All Users or Registered Users if you want to allow non-admin users to upload files to the Gallery I tried various combinations in Site Settings for the control panel visibility and default mode but still could not reproduce the message.

I then realized that the message is actually being displayed by an empty HTML module that may have been placed on the page via the Default Template when you added the page. Remove the empty Html module and the message should go away.

Also, if you are granting edit permission on the Gallery module to allow either All Users (including those not logged in or registered) or Registered Users so that then can upload media files to the Gallery, do NOT do so in DotNetNuke v 5.06.00 due to an issue which allows users with edit permissions on a module to also access Module Settings for that module.
