I am part of a  political organization that has a dot.net.nuke site.  Although we have all gotten pretty good with the content managment tools, I would really like to reach out to any free lance programers that might be able to help us put some new features on our site.  We would really like to have some forums for discussions and I have seen modules for forums but I don't know how to implement the modules.  Please contact me if anyone is interested.  Thanks

Sharon

The forum you are asking this question on now would be a very good place to start - it comes as a part of the DNN core and pretty much looks after itself once you setup some basic settings.

There are 3 Forums modules available for DotNetNuke. This one is bundled with DotNetNuke, besides there is a free module version of popular YAFForum on Codeplex and the 3rd one is Active Forums by Activemodules.com

We hired a programmer that has pretty much built the structure.  I am fairly sufficient in using the content management tools and know html so can change some source coding in the rich text editor.  However what I would like to add to our site is some forums.  Right now we link to a Ning site where our users can discuss the issues but would much rather have it on my own site.  I really need to find someeone who is looking for work that can help me our.
