FYI - an upgradeable RC (2) has been released on CodePlex (http://dnnblog.codeplex.com/releases/...). It looks like little has been done as far as features are concerned, but some security hardening techniques have been applied - so it's well worth the upgrade.

Cheers.

It is sad that some bugs have not been addressed. Like for example the post delays when a different timezone is set in blog settings.

Make sure you vote for that bug to be included in an upcoming released. Which bugs/features are worked on are based on those votes... so it's important that you do that.

Another big one is the Twitter integration.

You know, it is very hard to open bugs in Codeplex, vote in Codeplex, open issues in gemini and also post in Forums.

I mean, you ask tooo much from us the simple users.

And a bug is a bug. What has to do with votes. Come'on ..... we are not talking about new features.

To close this, DNN has a VERY FEW (2-3) valuable modules and the Blog is one of them. I hate to see that neglected. An other module is (for me) the Gallery that hasn't even been included in the recent versions (for a reason).

What quality modules are left ?

I agree with you - there aren't many (free) feature-rich and quality modules.

As for bug reporting, I also sympathize, especially when it comes to Gemini. CodePlex is quite simple, in my opinion, and votes are an important deciding factor in Open Source projects. No one is making money out of this project (definitely not me), and the time allocated to the projects are based on how much free time the contributors have on their hands. There often times isn't enough time to fix everything. So, that being said, votes are a good way to gauge the community's desire to fix one bug over the other.

At any rate, as I mentioned earlier, the module is currently under the custody of DNN Corp until further notice. I currently do not have any influence over what gets fixed or what features get added. At some point me and the community will get the module back; only then will I be able to answer definitively as to the status/progress of development.

Hope this makes sense.
