Accepted Answer 
Please make sure, you are running on ASP.net 3.5 SP1, when upgrading from 4.9.5 to 5.2.0 or above. Also make sure, your database has compatibility level 90 or 100, when upgrading from 4.9.5 to 5.2.0 or above.

Thank you for your response. I have 4.9.5 running well. How do I ensure that my database has compatibility level 90 or 100 before making the next upgrade?

database compatibility leven can be set using SQL Server management studio: right click on your database root node, select properties and you'll find this setting :)

hi

 

if i am upgrading 4.4 to 5.4 do i need to set the computability level 90 or 100

because its 80 now

 and i am getting sane error as in this post
