Preface:

I originally posted and bumped this issue in the Skinning Forum 5 days ago, but nobody wanted to comment.  Please excuse what amounts to a double post on this problem, but I really need to get an answer.

Problem:

Running DNN 5.6.0

I'm trying to use the Text Size Widget that is in the Minimal Extropy Skin in a custom skin I'm designing but I can't get it to work.

I copied all of the /css/variations files from Minimal Extropy to the same folder for my skin and used the same Object code found in the Minimal Extropy index.html file.

When the page loads, I can see, briefly, a small square where the widget should appear, but then it disappears.  Nothing is rendered.

Using IE, in the footer of the browser there is "1 item remaining" that stays there for a minute or so like something is trying to load.

The Widgets are enabled and if I change the skin to Minimal Extropy, the Widgets work.

What am I doing wrong?  What's the trick?

Thanks Cathal.  I had seen these pages while researching and while I did get it working, I was struck by the differences between Nik's sample code for the Stylesheet Widget compared to the code in the Minimal Extropy Skin.  It further confused me to the point that I was about to give up.

Anyway, for anyone who has this same problem, the thing I was missing was the the index.css file that loads the stylesheetwidget.css stylesheet.

I do want to sincerely thank Cathal because it did make me study Nik's code until I finally got it right.

Nik - You should add the where and why of loading the stylesheet to your blog.

David, glad to hear you got it working - feel free to update the wiki page to add a note about the stylesheet dependency.
