I'm building a corporate website, one that will have a large number of documents. I am new to DNN and did not know where the "My Folder" resolved to, but found it under /httpdocs/Portals/0/Users/001/01/1. I then made some sub-folders under that directory, hoping that when I try to insert files for the Documents module I'd be able to find them there but I can only get files from the root of My Folder. So if I cannot see anything but what is in the root of any of the listed directories to choose from (Root, Cache, My Folder, etc.) how do people manage and organize large amounts of documents, images, etc. in DNN?

All files need to reside inside /httpdocs/Portals/0 or a subfolder (except Skins, Containers and Users). If you need to manage large numbers of documents, you may also have a look at DMX module from www.bring2mind.net
