Sitemap.aspx is NOT a physical page, but a redirected page, try to call it and you'll see what the crawlser is getting.

Here is my link from the Search Engine SiteMap:

http://cadontechnologies.com/SiteMap.aspx

When I click it I get:

Server Error in '/' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /SiteMap.aspx

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.4952; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727.4955

I have a dedicated server so I looked in the root directory for SiteMap.aspx and there is not one there. What else can I try?

this sounds, like the sitemap providers are not properly configured, please check admin : site map configuration.

Everything was properly configured except port aliases. The alias created by DNN was cadontechnologies.com and not www.cadontechnologies.com so the URL for the sitemap was incorrect. It is not editable but when I fixed the alias name it corrected itself.

Sebastian,

I upgraded to 5.6.1 and now also have sitemap issues.  Nothing has changed except making the upgrade.  I am wondering if this has to do with the changes made to how DNN handles portal aliases.

I have tried getting a good sitemap.aspx with portal alias setting set to "none" and "redirect".

website is abundantlifecovenantchurch.com
