Hi,
I just upgraded a site from 5.02 to DNN 5.6.1. I used the upgrade package. THere was one error in upgrading  it said Error 5.3
I also recently changed by Databse from SQL 2005 to SQL 2008. NOw on some pages I am getting error and not on other pages not sure what the issue is: Please see detailed error:

I found the problem. It was a 3rd party module related issue. I upgraded that and now all is well.
