Hi

Wondering how this works, what is the best for SEO. I have the site http://mydomain.com and the http://www.mydomain.com.  I want the www as the default. I changed it to cannocial URL just wondering what is the best thing to do.

As far as SEO concern, mydomain.com or www.mydomain.com makes no difference. But with the help of CNAME record you can achieve www as default.

And if you want that google must index either mydomain.com or www.mydomain.com (obviously preferred by you only ) then check this thread http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F... i have posted here yesterday only.

Hi there I read your post, however I believe DNN and other sites get punshied by Google. If the sites www and the non www sites are properly redirected. They treat it as duplicate content.

As far as i know, google does not treat mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com as a duplicate content if you set preferred domain in web masster tool. For more check this https://www.google.com/support/webmas...

For other search engine i have no idea.
