Ok, managed to get a copy of the prod database.. restored that to the local system, was able to connect using Manager Studio using SQL authentication... modified the connection string to point at the new database. It appears now we are "hitting" that, but it is trying to redirect to the production website?..and gives me a timeout error: The connection has timed out

Ok, Managed to finally get a copy of the production database, restored it to local SQL Express installation.. connected using SQL Management Studio via SQL Authentication with the user/pass in connection string.. updated connection strings to point at new database.. now when I try to hit the database, it is redirecting to the production URL.. and giving me a connection time out error..

As a follow up:

Managed to get a backup of the prod database finally from the hosting provider, restored it to a new db locally, set up the users, tested user connection through management studio.. and updated the connection strings

now, when launching the site, it seems to be trying to redirect to the production server, even though I'm running through localhost .. and ends in a connection time out error.

Any thoughts?
