I have some sites running on a Windows 2003 / ASP.NET 3.5 / IIS 6 server and am migrating to Windows 2008 / ASP.NET 4.0 / IIS 7 server.  The site seems to be working and the host settings say ASP.NET 4.0

Was this automatic?
Is there something that has to be done in the web.config to ensure it doesn't break on future upgrades?
How do I make sure it's upgraded to ASP.NET 4.0?  I believe when I moved from 2.0 to 3.5, I had to initiate an upgrade script in Host.. Host Settings, but don't remember for sure.

Any thoughts on how to make sure this continues to run well? Avoiding future errors... etc
Thanks

In most cases, the modifications necessary to web.config are done automatically in DotNetNuke versions 5.04.xx and later when the framework code senses a change to ASP.Net 4.0. One set of changes, however, was not automated until version 5.06.01. Please check that the core Captcha control (optionally used in site registration, blog, feedback, etc.) and the LinkClickHandler (used in many of the modules to handle link clicks including tracking the number of clicks) are working properly. You can also check the various handler registrations in the <system.webServer><handlers> section of web.config include the attribute

preCondition="integratedMode"

and NOT

preCondition="integratedMode,runtimeVersion2.0"
