I am trying to add a portal to my DNN installation. My initial site works fine with no problems. This is the first time i've tried to add an additional portal. I log in as the host, and add the portal using the control panel. Initially it adds the portal, but I wasn't able to access it via a browser. An earlier post helped me overcome this issue by adding a host header mapping for the portal alias to my existing dnn website in IIS. Now when i visit the url for my new portal, i get the default web, but the 'login' link doesn't work. I've tried in Chrome and IE 8.

In IE 8, i can see there were errors executing the page and if I examine them in more detail, i am showing a host of errors stating 'Type' is undefined and referencing a number of javascript files, like dnn.js, dnn.xml.js, etc. 

In Chrome, if i use the Javascript console, it shows Failed to load resource error 404 file not found on scriptresource.axd, and then lists all the same type is undefined errors for a bunch of js files. 

I'm a bit stumped as to what to do. I was not expecting adding a portal to be this finicky. If I'm doing something incorrectly, I'd love to know. If there are additional steps i need to take, i'd love to know. It seemed like adding a portal would be straight forward but this is frustrating me to no end.
