Hello,

I am running DNN 5.6 on my domain and I downloaded a free skin which can be found at this link   http://www.dnnskins.com/Default.aspx?tabid=582&SkinType=View&SkinID=3

I am trying to create a simple image slideshow using javascript.

The problem is that when I try and add simple javascript code in the HTML module and click update, it does not allow me get past the first image. It simply deletes all my code entered and displays only the first image. Hence its just like I specified code just to display one image.

The general format for the javascript code is at this link http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/show2.shtml

Please can anyone tell me what I need to do in order for the image slideshow to work. Is it a problem with the skin or with my DNN version?

Many thanks

I'm assuming your using a html/text module.  When editing the JS you need to be in source view and save it while still in source view.

I switch back to the normal view and then save from the view mode the JS will be striped.

If you're still having problems then add the JS to the modules/settings/Advanced settings/ Header or footer area.

Hope this helps

Marcel

Hi Marcel,

Thank you for your reply. I have sorted it out by adding the JS to the header or footer

Cheers
