sure, you might need to adopt paths according to your setup.

If you are planning to install and work with the DotNetNuke source code, please see my Wiki entry for details and tips:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...

Please be sure to read the first section in which I advise against modifying the framework source code unless you have no other option to do what you want with DotNetNuke. Note that it is NOT necessary to modify or even install the the source code when building most extensions.

You can - but I would always think very carefully before changing the core - as you will break compatibility with future versions.

There are instead many ways to work with the core - via providers, modules and skin objects which leave the core source itself alone.

What exactly were you looking at doing in the core which you believe could not be done via a more compatible route.

Thanks for all information, what i was trying to do is, integrating existing User ID in other Database.
we already have existed user and try to transfer them to donetnuke DB..
That is the thing that i would like to update register section.

just wonder, is it better to update SP in DB or .Net module in this case..

Thanks
