I possess a customer who carries an enormous products on hand of products and would like to positioned them online. They are presently thorough in exceed spreedsheats with explanation and pricing. He carries a unbelievably tiny spending budget and does not need to spend to possess the information re-entered. Is there a way with dnn to incorporate his spreedsheets or is there a module or extention that may be utilized in conjunction with dnn?
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

theres various optioins - one of the easiest is to export xml from excel and then consume it with the xml mdoule (e.g. http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/F... ) . Alternatively the UDT (now known as forms and list module) can be used with a custom extension - http://www.codingstaff.com/products/d... . There are of course a ton of cheap modules as well http://www.snowcovered.com/snowcovere... - i've heard good things about http://www.dnnstuff.com/Modules/SQLVi...

If you're looking to capture data to later export to excel then something such as http://www.efficionconsulting.com/dot... is a good option.

Hi Luke

This is the sort of thing where I feel OpenWebStudio is an ideal solution as something very flexible and powerful, allowing it to be developed much further in the future.

I've just finished developing a set of configurations (like modules) using this for a client selling wholesale.  Included a CSV import function since the client also kept his products in Excel (over 6,000 products) and includes different pricing levels for different customers, and assigning barcodes.

It also exports these in a formatted Excel file too as a current price list.

Drop me a line if you'd like to see the system running, since it normally requires customer accounts for access.

In addition to other good suggestions here, a third-party module SGSV at tressleworks.com is a superb utility that has some impressive features, especially considering its affordability.
