I'm using the text/html module to display a table of printers.  I'm attempting to link the names of the printers to their network locations so that an end user can click on the link and install the drivers.  Each attempt I make to correctly format the link will result in the link being opened in a browser with an 404 error.  I've tried the following:

<a target="_blank" href="file://servername/WCP7675-Floor1-CopyCenter">Floor1-IT-HPDJ510PS</a>
<a target="_blank" href="file://\\servername/WCP7675-Floor1-CopyCenter">Floor1-IT-HPDJ510PS</a>

Browsers make http requests to web servers. If the web server can't find the requested resource it gives a 404. If you want the web server to do something special like this it would be configured in the web server.
