it's not just the Telerik editor.  on one of our other installations we are still using the FCK editor.  when we are in edit mode and click on the link icon, the window opens, but with no content.  when we switch to compatiblity mode in IE 9, it works fine.

i'm guessing that IE9's new implementation of managing popup dialogs has something to to with it.  When you try to download a file, you no longer get the modal dialogue back in the middle of the page, but the yellow strip near the bottom to ask how you want to download the file.

Still testing.

We have a new Telerik DLL that addresses many of the IE9 issues. We are testing internally with it. This new DLL will also be available in the DotNetNuke 6.0 CTP2 slated for release at the end of March or beginning of April.
Tell your clients to use compat mode in IE9 for the time being as we know it fixes the majority of issues

Thanks, Ken. Unfortunately, many issues are not solved even on 'Compatibility mode'.
Besides the DLL being included in DNN 6.0, I assume there will be a 5.6.x release including a new Telerik DLL, right?.
Can this DLL be provided now, to test if it solves some of the issues we've found on our modules?

There are many Telerik issues, besides the Telerik editor (like problem with Rad Windows, etc.).
A brief list: http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/search.aspx?rtf=Forum&fid=185&start=0&sid=1&q=IE9

Microsoft could be getting close to pushing out IE9 with automatic updates. For which date it is expected a DNN 5.6.x release including Telerik fixes for IE9?
We would like to avoid the upgrade nightmare that would be installing the most recent 'official'  Telerik DLL on client's DNN sites.

Thanks,
Horacio.-

@Horacio - There is no plan to release any more 5.x releases.  We are fully focused on 6.0.

Ouch! that hurts... 5.6.2 was the very last one?
So, the only path left is the 'upgrade nightmare' a.k.a. tell the clients to install the Telerik's official build? I guess Q1 2011 may solve all or most of the IE9 problems...

Hi,

We have a mounting tide of clients complaining about IE9.  We sell the Accord LMS and some of our clients have 10 or 20 thousand Learners.  One client has over 100,000.  Do you want to tell all of our clients to tell all of their students to use compat mode?  How many will this "emergency broadcast bulletin" actually reach?  For those that don't tune in, the Accord - which uses about 40 different instances of Telerik controls - will present and function very badly.  Not good.

How many DNN users world wide are going to need to be informed - millions?  Will this make IE look bad, or Telerik?  No, DNN will look like the problem, or the Accord, or any other DNN application provider.

Please consider adding the new Telerik DLLs to a branch release of DNN 5.x.  This will be a minor amount of work compared to informing millions of users to use compat mode, and all the bad press this will generate.

Thanks,
Chris
