I am using DNN3.2.2 for my website(http://www.melapalayam.co.in). Now DNN new version (community V5.2.2) has been installed by my hoster. Now I want to link my user database to my new DNN. As I have to develop my site again newly in new DNN, I am thinking to keep my old site as it is in hosting folder and giving a small link in my new website to redirect to old site for old contents. Now I dont know how to connect the existing user database with new DNN. Could you please guide me how to connect the database with new DNN?

Khaleel, the 2 best options would be either upgrading existing site (in multiple steps, maybe with assistance of a DNN professional) or setup a new site with latest version (5.6.1 atm, previous versions have known security issues) , and transfer user accounts and content. there are cheap modules on Snowcovered, e.g. from PHDobson, for transferring users and role assignments (you'll need first to create roles with same names and make sure, all users' passwords fit into new password requirements of 7 characters min or alter these requirements!), creating pages and modules and transferring content by copy and paste would be the solution for the second option.

Cheers from Germany,
