Hi

The problem is to hide a container - switch it from Maximised to Minimised so that people can go read the extra content if they want to but Google and other search engines will read it anyway.

Google doesn't cache the content of a minimised module in DNN.

I'm rubbish with JQuery - have got this to minimise the container but it loops through postingback and realoading the page to re-hide the container... :(

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
   jQuery(document).ready( function() {
      __doPostBack('dnn$ctr984$dnnVISIBILITY$cmdVisibility','false')
});</script>

Can anyone tell me how to make it only run once or conditionally so that people can maximise the module.

Thanks
Seb

OK found the solution:

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
    jQuery(document).ready( function() {
        if ( $('#dnn_ctr899_ModuleContent').is(':visible')){
            __doPostBack('dnn$ctr899$dnnVISIBILITY$cmdVisibility','false');}
});</script>

Seems to do the trick - anybody got a better way of doing this?

Seb,

If you use a container that included the [VISIBILITY] skin object you can set this up without the need for jQuery. Within the module settings look in the Page Settings > Collapse/Expand, and set this to Minimized. When a visitor visits the page for the first time the module will be collapsed.

Hope this helps,

Rick.
