New Community Website

Ordinarily, you'd be at the right spot, but we've recently launched a brand new community website... For the community, by the community.

Yay... Take Me to the Community!

Welcome to the DNN Community Forums, your preferred source of online community support for all things related to DNN.
In order to participate you must be a registered DNNizen

My company is using DNN for numerous web sites, both internal and public-facing. One of our in-house clients wants to build an ADA-compliant site using DNN 5 and the W3C guidelines. We are NOT required by law to implement the rules under Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act.

To keep costs down, this project will not be initiated with an RFP. Instead, we're reaching out to the DNN community in an effort to find a developer, or a company, with expertise in both DNN 5 and the W3C guidelines.

If you are such a developer, or if you know of anyone interested in bidding on such a project, please reply to this post. More information will be provided to those who respond.

I can say that we have not decided which version of DNN 5 to use. Depending on the feedback we receive, a Professional or Enterprise license is not out of the question.

Having been down the ADA path on a couple of occasions - and with flash as well to add grief to the mix - it would be fair to say that most of your ada compliance issues will not relate to the dnn framework - but instead to ensuring that all information is provided in an ada friendly way.

This is especially so with more recent builds of dnn that introduced fully human friendly links - the older tabid=21 format used to cause some grief in the ada area.

Always happy to talk with people in this area wtatters@live.com.au - with regard to DNN licencing there is nothing in the Community edition that would greatly hinder ADA site development - but the enterprise versions high end staging and management system does offer a greater level on ongoing ada site update compliance.
