The connection strings you posted look fine.

Are you able to connect to the existing database using MS SQL Server Management Studio Express (SSMSE) with SQL Authentication (not Windows Authentication) and the same Server (ROY-DEVELOPMENT\SQLEXPRESS), Username (DNN) and Password (*testing)? Are you then able to open and explore the DNN database in SSMSE?

One other question - after migrating the site to IIS and SQL Server Express 2005, did you specify a different objectQualifier value either in the Wizard's database connection setup or by changing it in web.config? If the objectQualifier had changed, that would account for the installer thinking this was a new install.

Regarding the "undefined...Success" messages, I've seen mention of that same issue in the forums but as far as I know no one has found a definite cause for this behavior. In some cases it has been traced to insufficient permissions for the ASP.Net worker process account on the website root folder or the /Providers/DataProviders/SqlDataProvider folder. Normally, database script installation should take a couple of minutes at most - usually much less.

i can connect to the ssmse both with sql and windows Authentication and explore the database.
i didnt touch the objectQualifier.
my guess is maybe problem with the tables, i did add my own tables that works fine in vs2008 enviourment.
i dont know what to do
