Hello,
I'm desperately trying to upgrade my DNN instance to the 5.0 version without success. I have backed up my data and tried various solutions but all have failed so far. I'm trying to upgrade my local DNN instance for the time being.
I'm running XP, SQLExpress 2005, Dot net framework 2.0 (I'm downloading and installing 4.0 as I type... just realised this might be the problem..)

The upgrade log says everyting is fine but as I click on the button to go back to my portal I get the red cross and a generic Error message.
Here is a copy of the Upgrade log.

Solution was dumb :) solved it myself. Simply forgot to change the .NET framework version in the IIS panel.
Have another problem now... I keep getting this message whenever I try to change the skin...
(error="...cboSkins="<Not Specified>").")
Any ideas?

did you try restart your app pool. if this doesn't help, you may need to restore previous files and database, adjust .Net version and trigger upgrade again.
