Hello,
I am using DNN 4.8.4 and I have a couple of websites hosted from my server. Recently i noticed the backups of database that i take regularly have increased to more than 1 GB which in result is slowing down my website and using a lot of hard drive space. When i went into the database i noticed that sitelog has about 1600000 records and the event log as 20000. I do need to keep the logs for a duration for 1 years i think before that is of no use for me. So can you please tell how can i go ahead and remove those records. And is removing the records the best way of doing this or anything else. Please let me know. This is urgent for me.

event log should not exceed a few hundred records for performance reasons. if there are a number of users or search engines accessing the site, sitelog may exceed as well. you may use a different tool for evaluating the sitelog, e.g. smarter tools and clear the sitelog inside DNN.

Thank you for the reply can you please suggest some tool or procedure by following which I could increase the performance and clean up the sitelog and event log.
