We host several DNN sites.  With the recent critical updates we have been going through the sites to see which ones needed to be updated and in the process found some strange occurrences.  Under portal aliases we were seeing strange IP addresses inserted.  We found 4 occurrences of this and it was only on the 5.6.0 and the 5.6.01 (latest release) sites.    Has anyone else seen this behavior or know how it may be occurring?

It does not appear that upgrading to the latest version is avoiding the problem.

Thanks

Chuck

Yes I've been having a similar problem with a site using 5.6.0 an alias of 'www./carlington' has been created 'carlington' is the name of the folder in wich DNN is installed. I've deleted it multiple times but when I go back and browse the site it recreats itself.

This site has only recently been moved from a dev. server to the future live server and has experienced a host of anomalies in the process, that were not present on the dev server.
The main logo at the top of the page disapears as soon as I login as 'host' and needs to be reset in the site settings.

Also after editing an html module as Admin and clicking 'save' I get this error

A CRITICAL ERROR HAS OCCURRED.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

However the changes that I made seem to have been saved...until I log out of 'Admin' mode. When reviewing the site as a regular visitor, any changes I
made as 'Admin' do not appear. However when I log back in as Admin the changes are there again!!?

Ideas anyone?
