I have a site that I'm using the RadEditor HTML provider for.
When I try to change the text color, it does nothing.
Other users with firefox have the same issue.
I have another site that uses RadEditor, and when I use radeditor, I *can* change the color of text.

I tried to put the files form the working site's telerik folder into the broken site's telerik folder (Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik) .. but the issue persisted.  I'm wondering if there's some sort of interference somehow from other modules?  javascript? who knows.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Actually the whole toolbar isn't working in radeditor in FIrefox. .. but only for one site.  Strange thing is, up until last week it had been working fine!
Hmmm.  Other than replacing the Telerik files in the Providers folder;  clearing cache in browser and site, is there anything else I can try?

http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/aspnet-ajax/editor/radeditor-updatepanel-and-firefox-3-0-6.aspx has some similar issues it seems.

OK -- it's not the whole toolbar.   It's the Font Color, Background Color/highlight color, and formatting toolbar.  The Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough work OK.

Here's what I've discovered.

RadEditor works fine on my site running 5.6.0 on ASP.NET 4.0

RadEditor font color/background color/smilies/etc does NOT work on Firefox 3.6.15 (and other versions) on Mac OSX when sites (multiple sites) are running DNN 5.6.1 on ASP.NET 4.0

RadEditor DOES work on Firefox 3.6.15 (and other versions) on Mac OSX when sites are running DNN 5.6.1 on ASP.NET 3.5

Does anyone know if this is an issue with FireFox on Windows?

I reported this in Gemini.
The RadEditor seems to work on firefox here in the forum.
I wonder which version of DNN the DNN site is run on, which .net version, and which RadEditor version (DNN Werk?)

If there are issues with the RadEditor in specific browser/OS combinations, any of the used components might be causing the  problem:

  • Browser
  • OS
  • DotNetNuke framework
  • Editor itself
  • Editor Provider
  • Skin or Portal.css
  • Module
did you try with a blank DNN site and default skin/container/portal.css and HTML module?
AFAIK, dotnetnuke.com is running default provider, integration of dnnWerk radEditor provider has been postponed to DNN 6.0
