Its the core security filter that strips this out, not the forum itself. (Just worth noting)

Chris, if so, then why can we post Youtube in Blog posts ?

Not every module uses the security filter the same way. The forums, for example, are open to far more users and require extra caution when taking in end user input.

Hello.
I know it has been asked before, but why we can embed a youtube video in a Blog post and not in a Forum post.

dont' get it. Aren't the "filters" global ?

Thanks

I am able to put youtube videos into forum posts on my site and I run the latest core forum module.http://www.croatianforums.com/Forums/...

I just switch to html view paste in the embed code unmodified then switch back to design mode and post. We have hundreds of posts with embeded youtube video in the forums.
