You could always use a table  < LetTheFlamesBegin />

PS:  And it works in all browsers

 Thanks for the reply..

I've tried tabels before and had issues with them.  If I remember correctly, namely the background colors and things..  With DIV's, they're hidden and you don't see them.  But the table row/cells, if they had a background color, they showed up even if there was no information within them.

Thanks agian.. -Jeff

Hi Jeff,

This is one of the main struggles when using Divs/CSS. The easiest fix would be to create a background image that is 1px high and the full width of the two_column div. Then set it to the background of two_column div. This will give the illusion that the left column is growing. However, I see that you have a border on the bottom of that column, so that might cause some issues.

You could use jQuery to force the columns to be equal heights. Here is a plugin that seems to do that (I haven't used it, though) http://plugins.jquery.com/project/equ...

There is a way to do it w/ CSS, but it  is quite a bit more advanced.  Here is the link for that: http://matthewjamestaylor.com/blog/eq... I have used this one before, and it wasn't extremely difficult, but it surely wasn't plug and play like the jQuery solutions looks like it could be.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply.. Didn't think about making the background for the two_column div..  Makes sense and I'll give it a try..

Always good to have another set of eyes on things to help fix odd issues..

Thanks again.. -Jeff

 Hello..
I tried what you said and created a background image with a repeat-y (all within CSS).  I had to set the height of the two_column div to 100% for the background to appear.  This is good.

BUT... The height 100% is only going with the height of the left column div, not the height of the right column div.  So, the blue background stops again half-way down.

Any ideas?  Thanks.. -Jeff

Jeff,

Try moving your clearing div to within the two_column div, after the right_twocolumn div. It probably isn't getting cleared properly.
