I had to turn my server off and then restart it.  The keyboard was locked up so I had to turn poweer off.

NOW my site says

This site is currently Unavailable

It looks like the database is corrupted because when I go to SQL 2008 and try to open teh database, it says "Suspect" and I can NOT open it.

Then I did a normal  server shutdown and even turned off power after shutdown.  Howerve it STILL says suspect and gives the error.

How do I get my database back to where it was a few minutes ago???

THANKS
Joel in Houston

Chances are you didn't rename a database file, so use the following in Query Analyzer to see what exactly the error is:

DBCC CHECKDB (‘YourDBnameHere’) WITH NO_INFOMSGS, ALL_ERRORMSGS

You can also attempt to repair it using the following in Query Analyzer:

EXEC sp_resetstatus ‘yourDBnameHere’;

    ALTER DATABASE yourDBnameHereHere SET EMERGENCY

    DBCC checkdb(‘yourDBnameHere’)

    ALTER DATABASE yourDBnameHere SET SINGLE_USER WITH ROLLBACK IMMEDIATE

    DBCC CheckDB (‘yourDBnameHere’, REPAIR_ALLOW_DATA_LOSS)

    ALTER DATABASE yourDBnameHere SET MULTI_USER

Hope this helps...
