We have a power surge that fried a motherboard
I am trying to again make a my DNN website work
- I have a new server in place but it is now Windows 2008 (Used to be Windows 2003 on the old computer)
- I have installed IIS 7 (Used to be IIS 6 on the old computer)
- I Installed the website on IIS
- I verified that I can get to the Website with my URL by putting a 'index.htm' file in the directory and it comes up fine
- I turn on see remote errors and I see
500 Internal Server Error
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed
- In 'Event Viewer' then ' Windows Logs'  then 'Application'
I see Error 'Could not load all ASAPI filters for site 'blablabla'. Therefore the site startup aborted.'

I also see an warning regarding process name  'w3wp.exe'
'Accountname NT Authority\network service'

I have another ASPX application that is successfully running on this IIS (it is a non DNN application)

I am hoping someone can give me ideas on how to make my DNN site happy once again.

Regards,

Chris

I would start by checking to make sure that you have the right version of .NET running on the app pool. Might also run through an installation of DNN using the Microsoft Web PlatForm Installer (www.microsoft.com/web) as it will make sure everything necessary for DNN itself is installed on your web server.

Chris,
First I wanted to thank you for trying to help me.
I wanted to update you on what I have done
I am looking at the Application(s) app pools
They all show v2.0 for the .NET Framework Version
Name 'Classic .NET AppPool uses v2.0 .NET Framework Version 'Managed Pipeline' = Classic
All of the other Application Pools including the Default Application Pool use  'Managed Pipeline' = Integrated
So I think the v2.0 is correct.?
- I went ahead and Installed another DNN application using  'Microsoft Web Platform Installer' (that was pretty slick by the way)
- The install produced no errors
-  I went ahead and ran through the wizzard and the application was built successfully- After building the website I was able to login using the local machine path and it worked fine (so I guess my IIS is installed correctly).

Regards,

Chris

Chris,
One more piece of information

I was able to get to the NEW DNN Website that was installed by the 'Microsoft Web Platform Installer' when I put in my Domain and the name of the new application 'http://xxx.gov./dotnetnukeivh/default.aspx' The final Goal would be to have the application pull up by using 'http://xxx.gov./'

So I know the new machine can feed web pages through our domain on this new machine. Cool!

Regards,

Chris
