Hello all, I'm receiving the following errors in the Configure Database Connection (Windows7\SQLExpress) :
Connection Error(s):
Index #: 0
Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider
Class: 14
Number: 18493
Message:

I started following the webinar on installing DotNetNuke and I'm now looking at the written instructions and I'm question the permissions. The webinar has you add the IIS AppPool\DefaultAppPool compared to the written instructions:

In Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008r2, when creating the website, be sure to make note of the Application Pool name, likely WEBSITENAME. You will need to use this when you setup the file permissions (IIS APPPOOL\WEBSITENAME).

Which should I use?

the wiki has some more detailed instructions - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/tabid/1409/Page/Install_DotNetNuke/Default.aspx . I also blogged about why at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/2420/Windows-7-Windows-2008-R2-cross-application-pool-isolation.aspx (i'll add it to the wiki)

My co-worker helped me out. Note: This is nowhere in the instructions as far as I can tell. (for SQLExpress local install)
1) Microsoft SQL Server Management: Right-click on the name of your SQLExpress server and go to Properties.

2) Select Security on the left

3) Under Server Authentication select SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode.

Hope this helps,
Jeff
