Costas,

Just to clarify a couple of points that I made earlier:

1. Since autoupgrade was true, ANYONE visiting the site after (hopefully after and not during) you uploaded the upgrade files would have triggered the upgrade and have been treated to seeing the usual upgrade progress status screen. By the time you visited the site following the upload, the upgrade had already taken place so you did not see the usual upgrade information.

2. Blog 4.0.1 is included in the upgrade package but not automatically installed during an upgrade. As Wes indicated, you will need to install it manually using the Install Available Extensions action command from the Host --> Extensions page.

the upgrade to 5.6.2 was a total disaster for us. references to missing Telerik dlls, user problems, etc.
I rolled back via backup.

Now I am seeing this same problem of "User Accounts is currently unavailable"
I have seen a lot of posts about that being fixed by syncing users and aspnet_users table. That is not an issue for us and the data actually looks fine AFAICT
select * from aspnet_Users au left outer join Users u on au.UserName = U.UserName where U.UserName is null -- 0 results.

I've looked all over the blogs for a problem and nothing surfacing that is our problem yet. any thoughts? I'm considering re-running the 5.6.1 update to see if the upgrades fix anything.

The Telerik references issue has plagued me ever since radeditor was first included as part of the DNN core. Every single upgrade has crashed my site. What's been especially frustrating about it is that the fix has been a little different each time. Sometimes I've been able to fix it by merely editing the references in web.config. Other times I've had to restore from backup and use a full install package to perform the upgrade. And still other times I've been able to simply grab the new Telerik assemblies from a full install package and upload them. It's never been consistent from one upgrade to the next. As a result, I'm very hesitant to try the upgrade from 5.6.1 to 5.6.2.
