Obviously one BIG problem with a DNN site's (or any type site) performance is when you have large images on the page (even if they look small)..

Just a couple of large images can make a page VERY slow to load.  I can go to the page and click on every image and check properties, but WOW that is slow.

However, is there a utility that will look at the pages of a site and tell me how large all of the downloads are for each page??

Thanks
Joel in Houston

You could try "FireBug" and addon for FireFox. It will allow you to see the "page speed" and show you what is slowing it down. And it is FREE... which is the best part.

I second Carole's suggestion, you may also install YSlow firebug extensions, which will provide you with a number of great suggestions for performance improvements as well.

I've used www.websiteoptimization.com to test speed and see what is being downloaded and the size... images, style sheets, etc.
