For a number of reasons, I need to have one of my DNN servers relay mail through the exchange server on my SBS box.  My SBS box uses a self signed SSL certificate.  When I configure my DNN box to try to use the box, I get the error: "The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure".

I'm pretty sure the problem is that DNN does not like the self signed certificate.  Short of modifying the code, is the a way to force DNN to accept the certificate?  I'm running DNN 05.06.00

I don't want to have the machine be an open relay (even with the IP address locked down).  I really want to use authentication.

Thanks

Did you add your self-signed certificate to the Trusted Root at your server? If you did not, then would be good to try this. Sure, you need admin access for it.

Open mmc, then Add Snap-In Certificates and make import of your .cer or .crt file. More details here.

Hope this helps!
