hello,

im new to dnn, ive created a portal and included a feedback module which i got from here http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/E..., the module has installed perfectly and im using it but cant send an email when i click send feedback button, it shows me the following error "Your feedback could not be sent to some or all of the intended recipients, please try again later:
The SMTP host was not specified."  ive changed my host email plus my user email and set the same email to the feedback module but still its giving me the same error...can anyone help me on how to configure the SMTP email ? thanks

Please go to the HOST/ Host Settings, then scroll down to the SMTP Server Settings and define your SMTP server.

Hi,

thanks for the reply.

im using hotmail/live ive set the authentication to basic and gave the smtp server and port as smtp.live.com:587 but when i test it fails...how can use gmail/hotmail smtp in dnn... thanks

smtp.gmail.com:465
Authentication Basic
Enable SSL - Yes
login - full email like name@gmail.com
password
